Roger H. Ogden is a real estate
developer, civic leader, and philanthropist. He has been a
leader in the development and acquisition of more than $350
million in commercial real estate, including shopping
centers, hotels, and office properties. Mr. Ogden is
co-founder of Stirling Properties where for 20 years
he led the company as principal and CEO in the development
and acquisition of a $200 million portfolio of shopping
centers. He is a past trustee of the International
Council of Shipping Centers and Vice President for the
Southern Division. In 1996, after retiring from Stirling
Properties, Mr. Ogden developed the Wyndham Riverfront Hotel, a $43 million
project that pioneered development on Convention Center Boulevard in New
Orleans. The project has been widely recognized for its
unique design, marrying the historic architecture of
theWarehouse District with the Contemporary Riverfront. In
2000, Mr. Ogden and his joint venture partner, Darryl
Berger, completed the acquisition of the Shops at Canal Place, a 295,000 square
foot five-star mall featuring Saks Fifth Avenue, Brooks Brothers, Pottery
Barn and many others, with an attached 1,550 space
commercial garage. The partners are currently involved in
plans for expansion of the facility. Most recently, Mr.
Ogden and Mr. Berger are co-developers in the construction
of the $65 million Loews Hotel on Poydras Street and the
restoration of the Piazza d'Italia in New Orleans. |
| Mr. Ogden has been extremely active in many
civic organizations, including chairman of the LSU Board of Supervisors; past
president of the Audubon Park Commission; and the chairman
of the boards of many other public and non-profit
organizations including the International House of Blues Foundation
Board and the LSU Stanley S. Scott Cancer Center Board of
Advisors. In connection with his civic work, he has donated
his time and talents as the coordinating developer of the
New Orleans Aquarium of the Americas and Woldenberg
Park, a world renowned $100 million riverfront park, and
the $30 million restoration of the historic Louisiana
Supreme Court Building, located in the heart of New
Orleans' French Quarter. |
| Committed to the arts, Mr. Ogden has served
on the Board of Directors of the Contemporary
Arts Center, the New
Orleans Museum of Art, and the New Orleans Ballet. He
currently serves on the boards of the Louisiana State Museum, LSU Museum
of Art, the New Orleans Center for the Creative
Arts (NOCCA), and The Louisiana Governor's Mansion
Foundation. Over 1,000 pieces of art from his personal
collection form the initial holdings of the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, now under
contruction at Lee Circle in partnership with the University of
New Orleans. The project has led to a renaissance of
this historically important area of the city. |

| Mr. Ogden is an honors graduate of
Louisiana State University where he served as Student Body
President, and Order of the Coif graduate of Tulane Law
School where he was elected to the Law Review. He has been
a resident of New Orleans for over 30 years. |
